Organized by Globe Soccer, the ceremony has gained significant prominence over the years, celebrating various stakeholders in football, including players, coaches, agents, and directors.
Origins and Founders
The Globe Soccer Awards were created by prominent football agent Jorge Mendes, Italian entrepreneur Riccardo Silva, and Tommaso Bendoni. Mendes has significantly influenced the event's success, winning the Best Agent category 11 times in the 13 years since its inception. His contributions have been pivotal in elevating the prestige of these awards.
◾The men's awards include categories for Best Forward and Best Midfielder, but lack a Best Defender category.
◾ While there is a Best Coach category for men, there isn't one for women, sparking ongoing discussions.
